PRINCE2™ Combined Foundation & Practitioner Course Outline
Who:
Practicing project managers, project assurance and project support that need to attain formal recognition of their skills by taking the PRINCE2™ examinations. (Foundation and Practitioner within the same week) 20 hours pre-course study is recommended. Pre-course reading, interactive CD and e-support are all provided.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this course Participants will be able to:
- Understand how to plan and organise PRINCE2™ projects
- Use the PRINCE2™ method to ensure quality is delivered
- Follow the processes to complete a successful PRINCE2™ project
- Prepare project plans using product based planning techniques
- Undertake risk analysis and management for the project
- Apply the PRINCE2™ method to appropriately to projects
- Take the PRINCE2™ Foundation and Practitioner examinations
Course Content:
This five-day course consists of the following major areas, which take the participants to Foundation level and then considers application of the method:
- All PRINCE2™ Processes from Start up to Closing a Project
- Business Case
- Organisation
- Planning and product based planning
- Controls
- Risk management
- Quality and quality review
- Change control and configuration management
- PRINCE2™ in practice
- Examination technique
Approach:
This intensive 5 day course is designed to maximize examination success, but also to provide confidence is using PRINCE2™. The Foundation examination is a one hour multiple choice. The Practitioner examination is three hours, open book, objective test format. Objective test format is a sophisticated multiple choice format, based on a case study.
